Recyclability

The objective of recycling for PAS 2020 is to design DM material for recyclability.

The greenDM.co.uk web site has been developed to be used in conjunction with the BSI PAS 2020:2009 standard. The environmental performance relating to the level needs to be used in conjunction with the PAS 2020:2009 document.

It is important to understand that with this environmental aspect you must assess recyclability of the direct marketing communications. This means that so long as you have done this and documented it, then even if something is not recyclable you will achieve at least level 1. To aid your audit process greenDM.co.uk allows you to append the documentation to your campaign if you have registered.

In March 2009 greenDM.co.uk will integrate this feature in an easy to use manner against all your materials that are used in you direct marketing campaign.

There are a number of logos that you can use to assist in meeting the criteria for this environmental aspect. Go to industry bodies to review your options.
